Why are LGBTQ+ books important?

Children learn from books. They learn about what is right and wrong. They learn about themselves and the world. If they only ever consume narratives that support traditional families, they can grow up feeling shame, confusion or ignorance.

By providing positive resources that show families of all kinds, we help today’s youth to grow up more compassionate adults, with more undertsanding and an awareness of the world that enables them to be kinder to themselves as well as others.
